It has always connected fine with no issue, which leads me to believe its a Yosemite issue (maybe apple is trying to weed out the old iPod fossils still roaming about). I'm afraid the new ones might not be as amazing as this one.Īlthough it is still useable, I really need some fresh music on there as my runs are beginning to get boring. I've spent more time with it than most of my friends. I know they're cheap, but I've ran thousands of miles with it and I've grown attached to it. Also, I'm using the factory mini-dock that came with it, which I believe to be in perfect working condition. It charges when plugged into a wall-USB charger, but isn't recognized at all by the mac. It also doesn't show up in the USB devices on the system report. ![]() It doesn't show up in iTunes or in the finder. Right when it's plugged in the iPod only blinks orange three times, then doesn't blink or light up again. I just connected my iPod shuffle (2nd gen) into my macbook for the first time since the update to Yosemite and iTunes 12.
